Applying the Creative Arts in the Business World
Faculty of Education, Queen's University, Ontario, Canada

Graduate students attending Queen's university were given a one-day accelerated workshop in applying their backgrounds in the Arts to the business world. Sponsored by the Faculty of Education, it was part of their Artist in Community programme. For these students, VisionDestination was easily accessible as a concept, and during the day there was much hands-on participation, debate and laughter. Not a Powerpoint in sight! The focus was once again on applying emotional connections and clarity of thought to bring business presentations to life. The students all had arts-degree backgrounds, but were now venturiing in the business world.

Queen'sUniversity is at the forefront of Executive Development. Business Week magazine ranked it the number one university for business education in Canada (2007).

Quotes from students:

"....In all my years studying theatre, I have never attended a workshop like Andrew's ..... It was sensational!

It's very appropriate for Queen's to support this bold cross-disciplinary initiatiative ... This is one of my proudest moments as a Queen's student, where it is so clear that we are being supported in our endeavor to find success and fulfillment in our work."
